faith first.

I was baptized into new life on April 15, 2012. I consider myself to be a member of the churches of Christ, having been an involved member of churches in California, Oklahoma, North Carolina, and Arkansas.

No matter where God calls me to serve I deeply believe in the power of the Local Church and the hope it gives to the world.

web design

Snapshot of Web Design skills:

  • Capable of designing in both WordPress (using Elementor and Avada plugins) & Squarespace.
  • Knowledgable in domain management.
  • Able to offer domain redirection (example: having a shorter domain serve as a shortcut for a longer, more complicated domain. go2dc.org serves as a front for downtownchurch.org and hides longer, more complicated urls hosted in google drive, google sites, drop box, and other 3rd party platforms. Essentially it functions like our own version of bit.ly – Example in action: go2dc.org/yv (Our weekly YouVersion notes)
  • Currently learning how to use AWS (Amazon Web Services) to host public and private files for easy distribution. The Church Resource Hub uses this as its primary storage method.

audio & video work

"split-screen" format

Using ProPresenter as the controlling software, this projection system is controlled using only one computer. By capitalizing on ProPresenters function of layers, and a series of objects and props, this allows one projection system have multiple streams of content, removing barriers to worship and blending several distinct looks. This system was first implemented in Spring of 2023 and later updated in Spring of 2025 to include an additional output of lower third lyrics on an alpha key for live-streaming.

Audio & Video System Upgrades:

Over the last 3 years I’ve implemented several system upgrades across the Downtown Church campus, working with our local integrator to meet current needs, but to also lay a strong foundation for future upgrades.

  • Fall 2022 – Installed a new wireless mic system from the existing Sennheiser EW series to a Shure SLX-D system, complete with a new antenna distribution system and recharging stands for microphones. (The equipment was ordered in 2020 during the pandemic and was on back order until Fall 2022.
  • Spring 2023 – Rewired and reconfigured the projection system to accommodate the new “split-screen” format.
  • Fall 2023 – Retrained all volunteers for Sunday morning services and Sunday night services.
  • Spring 2024 – Worked with our local integrator to upgrade the main PA system (originally installed in the 1990’s) in the FLC to include new speakers and a new amp configuration. Due to diligent work and resourceful purchasing of used equipment from a church in Little Rock, this project remained approximately $25,000-$40,000 under budget from what other companies quoted us.
  • Spring 2025 – Replaced and upgraded the audio system for our lobby area, and replaced and upgraded the video distribution system that ran across the campus. This also included installing conduit throughout the building since the building possessed no conduit for low-voltage wiring. This project laid the foundation for a restructuring of our network, creating new “hubs” for AV and IT equipment, rather than “stashes” in closets and up in the ceiling. Again, through diligent work and careful planning, the total cost for this project was $15,000; about $10,000 less than the initial system installation from 12 years earlier.
  • Spring 2025 – Replaced and upgraded the nearly 8 year old main projection computer to better serve church needs and accommodate a true lower thirds on an alpha key for the livestream.
